Spencer joined G. Randall Hammond & Co. in 2001.  In total he had spent nearly 40 years in the real estate industry, holding positions in mortgage lending, asset management, and appraisal.  Gary Hammond and Spencer worked briefly together as independent fee appraisers in the early 1990s and reconnected in 2001, after Spencer left John Hancock Life Insurance Company.  With GRHCo, he was the go-to guy for years for high profile and time sensitive assignment and was legendary for his persistence tracking down comparables and the folks knowledgeable about them.   No doubt that Spencer will refocus that energy towards his family and pursuit of knowledge.  We wish Spencer the very best and will miss him dearly.
